A general heating system consists of hot water boiler, water carrier
pipes, heating devices, circulation pump, expansion tank, automatic controlled
devices and various supplying and connection parts. Less than the temperature
of 110 oC of hot water is used as heating fluid. Majority
of hot water systems are open to the atmosphere and the water temperature is
never more than 90 oC. Produced hot water in the hot water
boiler is transferred to the volumes that will be heated by radiator, convector
etc. In these places, the hot water gets cold and its hot temperature transfers
to the cold room so the room gets hotter. After that this cold water comes back
to the boiler. In previous systems, the water is circulated naturally. On the
other hand, in new systems, the water is circulated by circulation pump because
they are more economic and comfortable. Circulation pumps are mounted to the
entrance. Rising volume during the water heating process is stored in an
expansion tank. Ecomatic panel system which perform depending on external air
temperature, are used in modern systems. For the low temperature heating
comfort can be provided by selecting the water temperature 70/50 oC
instead of selecting 90/70 oC.
